I am so thrilled to start off this week’s People We Love by introducing one of my favorite local creative team! Now, I have always admired creation that combines the element and principle of design creatively and maximizes its value. Perhaps, Oh & Ah does more? I let you be the judge.

Oh & Ah consists of five playful designers with different backgrounds who join forces to sprinkle local’s home and outlook with their magical dust; in the name of passion, art and design. Started out at the end of 2007, they were inspired by the indie design scene that swarmed London, Taiwan and Bangkok thus found their calling – rescuing local homes from being attacked by mundane repetition!
They produce daily, usable items ranging from small to big scale, with a wide variety of products from fashionable accessories, tees, stationery, toys to home décor. Their creations are inspired by Zakka, the art of seeing the savvy in the ordinary and mundane-ness; with a touch of playfulness of course!
I agree that not many of us have the same superpower of seeing gems through ordinary stones and what these creative young folks have done so far inspire me to keep on believing in the powerful magic of random ideas, art and creation.
Design, like atomic bomb, is a mini explosive device that develops its destructive force from radical ideas, release vast quantities of magical dust that brings whimsical changes.
The superheroes, in case you are wondering; are Su, Sweii, Lorna, Teck Yew and TLoong and when they’re not rescuing homes, they can be seen doodling with clouds and doing handstands.
